We’re proud to announce Phil Burleigh as Head Coach of the Rohrig Elite Development Program (EDP) for 2026.

A former professional with a 17-year career across NPC (Bay of Plenty & Canterbury) Super Rugby (Chiefs, Highlanders, Sunwolves), European rugby with Edinburgh, Japan (Kyuden) and international honours with Scotland national rugby union team, Phil brings genuine elite experience in skill execution, game management and player development.

Now in his second year as Assistant Coach of the Churchie 1st XV and working as a Performance Mindset Coach, he adds both pathway expertise and mental performance depth to our program.

His appointment strengthens our high-performance environment from Colts to seniors and ensures our EDP is led by someone who understands what it takes at the top level.
